Poem by me--- "The Scene Never Ends"

“The Scene Never Ends”
This is an original poem and song by

July 18, 2011

Spoken: “Once there was one, now there are two, this is the story of me and of you.”

Blow out the candles, turn off the radio.
Looks like the parties over, and I’m gonna go.
Don’t look so sad girl, now please don’t you cry.
I just can’t do this life thing and I don’t know why.

 (Chorus)
And I say to myself oh why do I try?
And you say to yourself, why do I cry?
And the world just watches as the scene never ends
And after the loving can we still be friends?

Smile that smile, that one that says you’re shy.
Promise you’ll love me til the day we die.
I remember I promised, on that sunny day.
To be your one and only; for forever and a day.

The rich are much richer, and the poor are all friends of mine.
I know that I am not the man you’d thought you’d find.
So, no matter the future, how it may unfold.
You saved me from myself, from the raging cold.
